While filming this video I also had some of our favorite fall recipes in the crock-pot and I wanted to share those recipes with you! Both of these will warm up your soul and will also make your house smell fall-licious :).
Warm Homemade Apple Sauce
INGREDIENTS:
6-10 apples
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
INSTRUCTIONS
Peel and cut the apples
Place in crock-pot with cinnamon, sugar and water.
Cook on high for 3-4 hours or until apples are tender
Whisk to stir until smooth
Best served warm over ice cream or for bonus points you can mix a couple of spoon fulls in your pancake batter and fall-ifiy your breakfast!
Cheeseburger Soup
INGREDIENTS:
3-4 Medium Size Potatoes peeled and diced
1 cup of diced carrots
3 cups chicken broth
1 pound ground turkey
1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk
16 ounces of Velveeta cheese cubed
Salt and Pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
Place diced carrots and potatoes in a large crock-pot and pour the chicken broth over them.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-6 hours
1 hour before serving
Brown turkey and drain any excess grease
Cook bacon to your desired crispiness
In a separate pan add flour and butter, whisk until golden brown. Whisk in milk until mixed thoroughly.
Add milk, flour, butter mixture, Velveeta and turkey to the crock-pot and stir. Cover and let cook 30 more minutes
Stir in bacon and serve on a crisp fall day!
